We invite you to a virtual event co-hosted by the Richmond Progressive Alliance, Greenbelt Alliance, and the Transbay Coalition.

On Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM PT, we'll be delving into a crucial topic: the pivotal role of transit in combating climate change and advancing environmental justice.

In a region where corporate interests often overshadow the needs of the people, it's important to explore alternative avenues for progress. Cars, as California's largest source of carbon emissions, pose significant challenges to our health, communities, and environment. By shifting our focus towards robust transit solutions, we can pave the way for cleaner air, vibrant communities, and a sustainable future. Join us as esteemed panelists Kyndelle Johnson (RPA), Jordan Grimes (Greenbelt Alliance), and Carter Lavin (Transbay Coalition) discuss the impacts of cars, the transformative potential of transit, and actionable steps towards meaningful change. Together, let's empower ourselves to advocate for transit-oriented policies that prioritize people over profit.

Mark your calendars for the Winter 2024 RPA Roundtables

2nd Saturdays from 11 am until 1 pm
Jan 13, Feb 10, Mar 9 at the RPA Office

These discussions are intended for RPA members to chat about our
organization and offer ideas for our future. These roundtables are about
meeting in person and building community. While these are meant to be
social, our hope is that our conversations are substantive and engaging. No
lectures, no dominating voices, but hopefully stimulating dialogues about
issues that are important to our members.

We don’t have expected deliverables but we also don’t want to just talk—if
our ideas take form with actions we’ll aim to get them implemented. Since
we’re an assorted group of people gathering, we don’t pretend to talk for
RPA, but we want to propose solutions and offer thoughtful ideas. Join us
for these lively exchanges.
